BASIC CAR RENTAL TERMS IN CRETE
1. The minimum rental period is 48 hours. Applications submitted less than 24 hours before the start of the rental period cannot be processed.
2. If you wish to extend the car rental during the rental period, make sure to check with the rental provider. Cars are usually in high demand during peak seasons.
3. The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel as received. If there is less fuel, the difference must be paid on-site according to the rental company's rates. No refund is provided for excess fuel.
4. If the car is returned excessively dirty, hindering its inspection, the cleaning will be at the client's expense.
5. Standard insurance does not cover damage to wheels, the undercarriage, the windshield, and the car's interior.
6. In the event of an insurance claim, the renter must immediately inform the rental provider and obtain a police accident report (unless otherwise agreed with the rental representative during the car pickup). Failure to meet these conditions renders the insurance on the car invalid, and all responsibility falls on the renter.
7. Rented cars are allowed only on public roads.
8. The contact phone number provided during booking with the country code must be reachable throughout the entire car rental period and the day before receiving the car. Complaints regarding service quality will not be considered if it is impossible to contact the renter via mobile phone or messengers (Viber / WhatsApp / Telegram).
9. Payment for fuel, parking, and fines is the responsibility of the renter.
10. Age and minimum driving experience restrictions may vary from one hirer to another, even for similar models. The Hirer has the right to refuse to provide the service if the driver's age or driving experience does not meet the requirements of the conditions for a particular car. To order a car that meets your criteria, please use the application form.
11. It is recommended to have an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with regular national licenses. This facilitates interaction with local police. Some rental companies may refuse rental without these documents.
12. If a credit card is required for the deposit, it must be personalized and registered in the main driver's name.
13. In rented cars, small pets are allowed by agreement with the rental provider. They must be in a special container (carrier).
14. The rental provider has the right to refuse to provide a car to any customer without the necessary documents or arriving at the rental location under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
